A Little About Me

Hello, my name is Monika! I’m a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) and  School Social Worker (SSW) in the state of Michigan.  I have experience working in both the mental health and school settings and have worked with adults and youth ranging in all ages. I’ve been a school social worker since 2009 and started my own mental health practice in 2019. I specialize in working with women and girls suffering from depression, anxiety, self-esteem/body image issues, addictions, relationship concerns and more. I support clients in  overcoming past traumas and present day stressors.

I’ve had training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Stress Reduction, Somatic Studies and Trauma Informed Yoga. I’m a certified Yoga Teacher RYT- 200 and a certified Reiki I & II practitioner.

My therapeutic approach is client centered, mindfulness based and incorporates a holistic approach, that all components of ones’ life are interrelated. I utilize various treatment approaches to bring self-awareness and understand the connection between our mind and body.  I believe every person has the potential for personal awareness and growth and to live a healthier and more authentic life.

I’m a student of life and enjoy learning about myself and the world around me.  I’m an avid reader (mostly of psychology and the personal development section), enjoy spending time outdoors, moving my body (yoga, walking, going to the gym and dancing), traveling, eating delicious food and spending time with my family.

I’m fluent in the Polish language and culture.
